
Dirk Lammers
As Cetera Services’ partner and chief communication officer, Dirk Lammers, CAE, delivers executive director services, on-point messaging and media-savvy assistance to the company’s clients. Dirk is a veteran journalist, author and entrepreneur with drive and a commitment to accomplishment.
In his more than two-dozen years as a journalist with the Associated Press and the Tampa Tribune, Dirk has received a number of honors. In 2006, Dirk received business and financial journalism’s highest honor, the Gerald Loeb award, for a groundbreaking national story on 9/11 small business loans. Other honors include the Associated Press Media Editors Enterprise Award and the Best in Business Award from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers.
During the earliest days of the Internet, Dirk began developing web sites, ran a successful e-commerce business and started blogging. He has continued to blog for more than 15 years and used his deep passion for baseball to fuel his successful site nonohitters.com and pen his award-winning book, Baseball’s No-Hit Wonders: More Than a Century of Pitching’s Greatest Feats (Unbridled Books, 2016). Dirk has earned media attention in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and numerous other publications, and he’s appeared on multiple MLB Network television and Sirius XM radio shows.
Dirk reviewed thousands of press releases as a journalist, and that experience guides his meticulous crafting of media pitches that draw coverage for Cetera Services’ association, foundation and business clients.
Dirk holds a Bachelor’s in Communication from the University of South Florida and earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). In addition to his continued membership in ASAE, he is a member of Associations North, the Public Relations Society of America and the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR), and he serves on SABR’s Editorial Board.
